Famous Last Words: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Last Battle
Now at last they were beginning Chapter One of the Great Story which no one on earth has read: which goes on forever: in which every chapter is better than the one before (C.S. Lewis)

This is my last semester of college. I'm a little freaked out, but also just so excited to see what Chapter One of adulthood looks like. I'll be honest, my first two weeks of this semester where not as easy as I thought they would be. Nothing majorly difficult or tragic happened, there was just a lot more to do than I anticipated. I got into this class late on Thursday night of Week 1, and immediately went out of town for a retreat Friday morning. That left me playing catch-up really early on, and although the work was enjoyable and not too difficult, it was managing the sheer amount all at once that made it a little stressful. I felt behind most of the week, but by the time I finished it I felt very satisfied with my work and ready to take on the semester. I haven't really gotten to do much creative or reflective writing since high school, so I have been loving this chance to jump back in.
For my original proposed work schedule, I thought I would mainly work on the class on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (at least I think that's what I put). However, I found that it was much easy for me to work a little each day, instead of trying to get everything done in big chunks. I'm interested to see if that strategy works again this week, or if I'll need to switch back to my original plan.
Here's a fun completely non-school related tid-bit: my sister had a baby on Thursday! I finally have a niece (if you'll remember from my introduction, I already have five nephews)! Her name is Lace and she is teeny and precious and healthy and wonderful. Unfortunately, I had a pretty nasty cold (including a gnarly fever) from Wednesday-Friday, so I have not actually gotten to hold her yet. I know, I'm just as upset as you are. But I'm back to nearly 100% now so I'm sure I'll get to see her soon.
