Famous Last Words: Paradise Lost

Paradise Lost
"They hand in hand with wandering steps and slow // Through Eden took their solitary way" (John Milton)

In exactly one month, almost to the hour, I will be turning in my final papers of my college career. (Of course, hopefully I turn in my papers well before the 11:59pm deadline, but realistically speaking I know at least one of them will be down to the wire. Oh well.) After that, I will have four days of packing, crying, dancing, and making the most of every minute before graduation on the 12th. Wow, I had to take a little break after writing that because the reality is kind of starting to set in. I am very excited. I am very nervous. But mostly I'm excited. I think. Honestly, it fluctuates. But hey, that's life.

Class this week was good. The end is so close. I'm really trying to put my all into every assignment. It was really fun reading the stories this week. Everyone seems to be getting the hang of this whole story-writing thing, and it shows in the stories. I got to revisit a couple of pages that I hadn't seen in a while, and I was really excited about how they were turning out. I plan on reading my favorites at the end of the semester to see how they wrap up.

The snow. Seriously, guys. What was that? I am the kind of person that thinks 60 degrees is too cold, so this weird April weather has not been my favorite. At. All. As I have previously discussed, I love being outside. But with this weather? Not a chance. The weekend wasn't a total bust though. My mom came to town and we got to do a little graduation shopping. I'm graduating in May (obviously), and am in desperate need of a few dressy outfits for all of the festivities. Normally, I don't really enjoy shopping with my mom, but this weekend was really sweet. I'm moving away after graduation, and I think we're both realizing that these moments are precious.

I am not looking forward to this week. The rough draft of my capstone project is due on Friday, and I am super worried about it. But then I remember: no matter what I am going to graduate. Probably. So here goes. In the words of Princess Poppy, if something goes a little wrong, you can go ahead and bring it on.
